About the Course
Location: In person/Virtual
Students experiencing difficulties at home and within the school struggle to effectively manage their emotions. It is imperative that staff understand how to create an environment that emphasizes an individual's choices and accountability. This session will focus on specific strategies that can assist teachers as they teach students emotion identification and management, appropriate boundary setting and classroom unity.
This session is designed for special education teachers, mental health workers, school and district leaders who interact with students to provide safety and emotional support.
Objectives:
Learn to create time for students' self-reflection and goal setting
Understand how to model and teach self management and boundary setting
Learn to foster an environment that promotes appropriate communication and accountability
